When Clients Become Collaborators (and Friends)
There are a lot of things I love about consulting for small businesses—but the part that surprises me the most is how much I genuinely love my clients.
Not just as business owners. As people.
Over time, those relationships become real friendships. I use their services in my own life. I recommend them to my friends and family. And one of the most rewarding parts of the work? Connecting two amazing business owners who can grow together, innovate, and create something even better—together.
Making Connections That Matter
One of my longest-running clients is URBN Events, a national photo booth company that delivers serious wow-factor. Whether it's a 360 booth for a gala, a headshot station at a networking event, or a custom setup for a brand launch—their services bring people together and leave them with something to take home.
360 booth fun with URBN Events
The headshot booth, in particular, is one of my favorite ways to add real value to an event. Attendees leave with a professional photo they can use across LinkedIn, email signatures, and more. It's fun, functional, and helps both sides—the event host and the guests—win.

The Power of a Great Pairing: Angela & Brit
Brit & Angela
But one of my absolute favorite business connections to date has been between two of my own go-to experts: Angela and Brit.
Angela, founder of Finding Function and Home Organization, helped me get my home (and honestly, my life) organized.
Brit, of Signature Styles by Brit (Facebook here), is the designer behind some of my favorite spaces in our home—our guest bathroom, office, guest bedroom, and our multi-use entertainment room.
When I introduced them to each other, it just clicked.
Now they offer a seamless package where:
Angela steps in before the design to help clients declutter, prioritize, and get intentional about their spaces.
Then Brit works her design magic with a clear understanding of what matters most.
After the renovation, Angela returns to make the space livable, functional, and customized to how the client actually lives.
It’s not just beautiful—it’s sustainable. And their clients are loving it.
My Own Experience
As I plan a primary suite overhaul, the Brit-and-Angela effect is already shaping the outcome. Angela helped me see I didn’t need nearly as much closet space as I thought—because I wasn’t actually using half of what I had. That’s allowing Brit to design a space that fits our real needs instead of just square footage.
Bonus? The three of us are now great friends, and we’ve even started collaborating on social media content, strategies, and networking—which makes the work even more enjoyable and creatively fulfilling.
Work Is Better When It’s Shared
Helping small business owners discover each other and collaborate is hands-down one of the best parts of what I do. Whether it’s introducing clients to each other, making referrals at networking events, or sharing trusted contacts with friends and family—it always comes back around.
Work is just better when you’re doing it with people you like.
